BLACK MUSTANG
She drive a black Mustang outta Blue Mountain Road
Sun is shinin’ and the A/C’s cold
Pedal to the metal, she’s out for a spin
Ain’t comin’ home until the night sets in
She drive a Black Mustang
She drive a Black Mustang
I met her at the mill, she was just seventeen
Taught her all my tricks if you know what I mean
She dressed a little funny, I never knew why
I had to find out so I gave her a try
My woman she is different than a lotta gals
Smokin’ little cigars with all my pals
Dirty martinis in a fishbowl glass
Tequila chasers, now ain’t that a blast
She drive a black Mustang outta Blue Mountain Road
Sun is shinin’ and the A/C’s cold
Pedal to the metal, she’s out for a spin
Ain’t comin’ home until the night sets in
She drive a Black Mustang
She drive a Black Mustang
Nirvana’s on the stereo playin’ real loud
To the shoppin’ mall she goes before there’s a crowd
Needs some new clothes, don’t have enough I guess
Fillin’ up her closets is what she do best
Connie ridin’ shotgun, Kelly’s in the back
Maria fast asleep and Sid rounds out the pack
Bein’ with her friends she’s as happy as can be
Havin’ lots of fun is her priority
She drive a black Mustang outta Blue Mountain Road
Sun is shinin’ and the A/C’s cold
Pedal to the metal, she’s out for a spin
Ain’t comin’ home until the night sets in
She drive a Black Mustang
She drive a Black Mustang

You're The One I Want

YOU'RE THE ONE I WANT
I look out my window across the street to you
I hide behind my curtains afraid you’ll see me through
If I come to your door will you talk to me?
Just to get to know you would be a victory.
Mini skirt and thick dark hair big ole’ brown eyes too
I sure would like to see them from a foot or two
When you’re sittin’ on the porch readin’ TV Guide
I could help you pick the show that we’d watch tonight.
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be, all over me
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be with me.
I stole a shot of Daddy’s rye maybe three or four
Finally got the courage and staggered out that door
As I stepped off the curb and walked upon your grass
Your boyfriend ran up to me and knocked me on my ass.
I ran and got my Mustang bike bright and shiny blue
Pulled a couple wheelies right in front of you
When I turned the seat fell off I felt an awful pain
Between my thighs was hurtin’ so off I ran again.
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be, all over me
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be with me.
A couple years had come and gone teenagers we were
I tried to grow a moustache thought it would please her
One day she came up to me and looked me in the eyes
Tried to brush it off my lip much to my surprise.
Then I finally got a car a Biscayne Sixty Six
Nothin’ very fancy but one that I could fix
Pulled into her driveway I had some real nice plans
Wanted to impress her but I hit the garbage cans.
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be, all over me
You’re the one I want to see, you’re the one I want for me
You’re the one I want to be with me.

Sittin' On A Park Bench

SITTIN' ON A PARK BENCH
A little boy is sittin’ on a park bench
Watchin’ all the other kids play
Wishin’ they would ask him to join them
But he’s so afraid of what they might say
He sits there for hours ‘til the street lights glow
After they had all gone away
Hungry and tired he heads for hom
Another frustrating day
He’s different and he thinks that nobody cares
Not even the closest ones
Longing for affection and a little love
Fearin’ it’ll never come
A young man is sittin’ on a park bench
Watchin’ as the girls walk by
Thinkin’ they are lookin’ right through him
But it’s really that he’s just too shy
He works real hard and he tries to fit in
But something always ruins his day
So misunderstood at the best of times
He lashes out in every way
He’s different and he thinks that nobody cares
Not even the closest ones
Longing for affection and a little love
Fearin’ it’ll never come
An old man is sittin’ on a park bench
Wonderin’ where the time has gone
The dreams he had in his younger day
Worried they’ve been left undone
The days are longer and the nights are too
Many evenings of restless sleep
Still haunted by the ghosts of past
Feelings he would always keep
He’s different and he thinks that nobody cares
Not even the closest ones
Longing for affection and a little love
Fearin’ it’ll never come
Longing for affection and a little love
Before he really comes undone

Gonna Leave My Woman

GONNA LEAVE MY WOMAN
Gonna leave my woman, leave her far behind
Gonna leave my woman, she drive me outta my mind
Gonna get me a new one, ‘cause she just not my kind
Wanna find a rich lady and keep her by my side
Wanna find a rich lady that I don’t have to hide
She wanna have a lotta money to keep me satisfied
I need a redhead, a brunette, a blondie’ll do
A‘long as she good lookin’ and don’t leave me blue
She gotta own a big, fancy automobile
So everybody see when I’m behind the wheel
Well I looked a lotta places to find me the right one
Well I looked a lotta places just couldn’t find me none
‘Guess I’m just too picky or maybe they all gone
Now I’m back with the woman, the one I left behind
Now I’m back with the woman, who drove me outta my mind
Couldn’t find me a new one, I’ll try again some other time
I say, I couldn’t find a new one, I’ll try some other time.
I need a redhead a brunette a blondie’ll do
A‘long as she good lookin’ and don’t leave me blue
She gotta own a big, fancy automobile
So everybody see when I’m behind the wheel
Well…I looked a lotta places to find me the right one
Well I looked a lotta places, just couldn’t find me none
‘Guess I’m just too picky or maybe they all gone
Now I’m back with the woman, the one I left behind
Now I’m back with the woman, who drove me outta my mind
Couldn’t find me a new one, I’ll try again some other time
I say, I couldn’t find a new one, I’ll try some other time.
